For any product fabricated from rough diamonds mined from January 1, 2003 onward, the seller certifies that the diamonds herein invoiced/consigned have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with United Nations Resolutions, the seller hereby guarantees that these diamonds are conflict free, based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of these diamonds.

For any product fabricated from rough diamonds mined prior to January 1,2003, the seller warrants that conflict diamonds will not be knowingly sold and that, to the best of our ability, will undertake reasonable measures to help prevent the sale of conflict diamonds in this country.
As a jeweler that fabricates and sells diamond jewelry we are fully aware of the many political issues surrounding diamonds. Although we are a very small shop we feel that individually we can make a difference by holding our suppliers accountable for where their diamonds come from.  We will not sell any diamond from a supplier without written certification to us that the diamond was procured through the Kimberley Process protocal.  We understand that this is an imperfect process but it is the best way we know how to support the vast amount of good that diamonds do for many African nations.  We broker most of our diamonds and we are happy to obtain Canadian diamonds as well, but as a company we have decided not to turn our backs on African diamonds as we believe that change in those countries can, and will only, take place by supporting one of their most valuable resources.
Kimberley Process Requirements
Each shipment of rough diamonds crossing an international border must be:
Transported in a tamper-resistant container
Accompanied by a government-validated Kimberley Process Certificate
Each certificate must be resistant to forgery, uniquely numbered and describe the shipment's contents
The shipment can only be exported to another Kimberley Process participant country
It is illegal for uncertified shipments of rough diamonds to either be imported or exported by a Kimberley Process participant country
Failure to comply with these procedures can lead to confiscation or rejection of parcels and/or criminal sanctions
If any concerns arise regarding a country's adherence to the Kimberley Process, they are investigated and dealt with at an intergovernmental level
“The diamonds herein invoiced have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with United Nations Resolution.  The seller hereby guarantees that these diamonds are conflict free, based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of these diamonds.”
